Problem: Madagascar does not have enough trained
teachers and it does not have enough classrooms. Cause: The average Malagasy adult completes only 4.4 years of school. There are not enough people there that are completing school, so there are no teachers smart enough to be able to teach the children. Also, building more classrooms will take away the few trees that they have left and that could be a disaster. Solution: I think that it would be a good idea to have people from other countries go into Madagascar and teach the children and adults. I think that having a change of pace in who is teaching them will make more students excited to learn. To fix the not having enough classrooms problem, I would suggest that the United Nations import materials that they need to build classrooms. Nothing is going to get done if we don't give Madagascar the help that they need. http://www.unicefusa.org/partners/ngo/pdfs/Schools-for-Africa-Madagascar-Manjo-s-Story.pdf |
Problem: Illegal activities are common in the streets and it is being ignored.
Cause: There are many illegal activities such as sexual acts, human trafficking, and I'm sure there are other activities such as theft and mugging. Solution: There needs to be more officers in the streets monitoring these illegal activities so they can be stopped and even prevented. http://mada.moreorless.net.au/problems/ |
